OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK—MONDAYS THROUGH SATURDAYS
A Deli With a Twist
Walk through the doors of Piedmont Delicatessen and you'll find one of the hottest sandwich shops in Gastonia — great food, fun environment, and enough baseball memorabilia to marvel at several times over.
If you come back after closing, though, you are in for a REAL treat. There's a secret hiding behind the cigarette machine that can only be reached by those who know. Interested in finding out? We'll let you in on it.

Whatcha Havin'?
Our menu is simple — 4 signature sandwiches and build-your-own subs. That's it. Our invitation is to experience Piedmont on a plate or craft your own adventure worthy of the greatest sandwich craftsmen. Here's a quick look at what we've got going on.
Signature Sandwiches
The Smoke
Panini-pressed Ciabatta bread with Mexican street corn, avocado, pulled southwest chicken, grilled onions and peppers, pepper jack cheese, and seasoned black bean puree.
The Piedmont
Pretzel bread with Pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and a ground mustard beer cheese sauce.
The Barnstormer
Rosemary focaccia bread with salami, capicola, prosciutto, provolone cheese, arugula, pesto, balsamic glaze, and parmesan crisps.
The Partner
Olive oil brioche bread with smoked turkey, brie, thin Granny Smith apple slices, a thin swipe of ground mustard, and hot honey drizzle.
Check out the full menu including soups, salads, and each ingredient available for our subs.

Seeing Ghosts
Actually, ghost murals, but it's purely semantics, right? As the crew began renovations, they pulled plaster from the walls of the building and were met with the surprise of a lifetime. A Piedmont cigarettes mural spanning over 30 feet stared them in the face.
Larger Than Life
Two players. Different worlds. Same city. Honus Wagner was the biggest name in the MLB. Smokey Joe Williams the larger-than-life pitcher in the Negro Leagues. Because of racial constructs, their paths never crossed — but at Piedmont Deli, they live side-by-side.
The Barber and the Builder
Derrick "Fly Ty" Jacobs and Preston Wilson come from wildly different backgrounds, but share a singular heartbeat. Their love of local business and shared values of care and community have led them to partner together in a vast array of business ventures. And Piedmont Delicatessen is just the most recent one.
The Door You're Looking For
If you've heard rumors of other spaces at the deli, spaces only accessed after hours, you may have heard correctly… or not. However, if you did hear correctly, you may need a reservation. And if you needed a reservation, the cigarette machine below may help you find what you're looking for.
Get In the Game
As an homage to Fly Ty and Preston's relationship, we've added a fun little game to enjoy at Piedmont Deli. We've hidden clippers and hammers throughout the designs and artwork for you to find — a bit of a scavenger hunt, if you will. Ready for the challenge? Go to page 4, upload your findings, and claim your prize. Happy hunting!
